of caring. From 1836 to today, CHD has made a profound impact in the lives

Programs
CHD, located in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, provides specialized residential
and respite treatment programs. Out-patient and assessment services are
provided by The Trowbridge Assessment and Counseling
Center at this site,
as well. The
National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children (TLC) is also located
on CHD’s campus.
Residential
CHD provides intensive treatment in an open campus environment
for boys and girls ages 5 to 17 years old. Individualized multidisciplinary
mental health services are designed to address emotional and behavioral
problems which prevent youngsters from living in their local homes and

Respite
A flexible, short- or long-term program with varied lengths-of-stay,
provides a therapeutic living environment for youngsters. The Respite
Program provides supplementary interventions to services given by the
