Supervisor – Cottage Coordinator
General Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Residential Services:
Supervise direct care staff, attend to crisis and effectively intervene with residents under care.
Share in the development and implementation
of administrative and treatment plans.
Develop and maintain a therapeutic team milieu.
Circulate on team(s) on grounds and in buildings to observe work performance of staff, including daily routine, recreational activities, education and special events.
Positive role modeling for direct care staff and resident
Qualifications:
This position
requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, or a related area and
a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a child caring facility. A
Chauffeur’s License with be required within 30 days of employment.
Must successfully complete training course in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and be physically able to assist with residents who require physical intervention.
Youth Specialist
Personal Traits: Must possess the understanding and ability to cope
with emotionally impaired children, as well as the empathy needed to
effectively provide services to behaviorally/emotionally challenged
children. Must be mature and responsible, and of good moral character
to serve as a role model for children. Must be self-directed, have
legible handwriting, basic math and English proficiency.
General Responsibilities: Assume monitoring responsibilities of residents
in cottage. Participate in treatment team planning meetings for assigned
residents. Escort residents to and from activities and school; actively
participate with residents by being a positive role model to ensure
successful learning and positive treatment outcomes.
Must be able to successfully complete orientation program including
training and testing in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) upon
being hired. Must be physically able to assist with residents who require
physical intervention. Must have a current Chauffeur’s License or acquire
one within 30 days of hire.
Accounting
Assistant - Part-Time (24 hours per week)
National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children (TLC)
General Responsibilities: Under the direction of the TLC Assistant Director and Children’s Home of Detroit Accounting Manager, assumes responsibility for designated areas of fiscal recordkeeping for the TLC Program.
Specific Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable, maintain receivable ledgers.
Complete monthly Accounts Receivable reports.
Billing for all certification tuition, dues and fees.
Prepare and maintain billings for all books and resource materials.
Maintain records on all purchase orders, packaging, deliveries, shipments and backorders.
Administer and reconcile petty cash fund.
Any other tasks assigned by the Director
Minimum Experience: Experience in bookkeeping and related accounting tasks. Must be computer literate and experienced in both MS Office and Apple programs.
